Velociraptor
- Velociraptor means "swift thief."
- It lived around 83 to 70 million years ago and fossils of this species have been found in central Asia.
- Velociraptor was small; adults grew up to 5.9 ft long, 2 ft high at the hip, and weighed 45 lb.
- Velociraptor had three strongly-curved claws on each forelimb and large 'hands', which were similar in construction to the wing bones of modern birds.
