Spinosaurus
- Spinosaurus meaning 'spine lizard', lived in what is now Egypt, about 95 to 93 million years ago
- It was the largest of all carnivorous (meat-eating) dinosaurs, even larger than Tyrannosaurus Rex and Giganotosaurus. It measured up to 57 ft long and reached weights up to 9 tons.
- It featured distinctive "spines" on its back that grew up to 6.6ft long and were likely to have had skin connecting them, forming something that looked like a sail, although some people think they were covered in muscle and formed a hump or ridge.
